“Approximately 12 to 13 years ago, my wife, children and camping buddies complained jokingly, at first, about my loud snoring. I took their comments seriously and I made a snoring/sleep apnea dental appliance for myself. What a difference! Not only did they, the people around me, sleep better but, I did too! I also found out that I too had moderate sleep apnea during an over night sleep study and how well my appliance performed in eliminating that serious problem”.

Dr. “Gene” Long and wife Evelyn

After graduating from dental school, I practiced restorative dentistry in Tulsa, OK for 37 years with a special emphasis on occlusion, the prevention of TMJ problems and maxillofacial rehabilitation. I had a special interest in Dental Sleep Medicine and in my semi-retirement I continue to enjoy helping people with sleeping disorders such as Snoring, Sleep/Apnea and Bruxism with the utilization of dental appliances to resolve these problems. I am semi-retired now living in north-west Arkansas and treat patients in Fayetteville, AR at a sleep center and in my former office in Tulsa, OK.

Helping others with sleep problems has become my passion.  I would very much like to help you with your sleeping disorder or assist your personal dentist or physician in your quest for a quiet and healthy sleep.

More people are becoming familiar with sleep apnea, but I  urge you to visit our page on Bruxism.  Bruxism means clenching and/or grinding your teeth. Bruxism is one of the lessor things talked about in dentistry, but I feel it is one of the most important!

SHARING  My loving wife Evelyn and I have been married 51 years.  We have three wonderful children who live in Kerrville, Texas, Denver Colorado and Billings, Montana.  With God at the center of our lives, He has blessed us beyond measure!  I have serveral other hobbies such as fishing at our log cabin near Beaver Lake, singing in a men’s quartet, men’s chorus and our church choir.  My completion of building a wooden dory/skiff boat is shown on the left.
